Role Summary
As a mobile engineer, carry out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on retail and commercial refrigeration systems using all types of refrigerants and typically within the food retailers, storage, and distribution sectors. Typically working on refrigeration systems ranging from small commercial condensing units to large central CO2 / HFC plant. The role includes involvement in an emergency call-out standby rota (minimum frequency 1 in 4).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out PPM on all types of retail / commercial and refrigeration systems utilising all types of refrigerants – F-Gas (HFC and HFO), carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.
• Reactive service including fault-finding mechanical, electrical and control systems, including performing emergency standby rota duties.
• Compressor repairs and overhauls.
• Leak testing.
• Pressure testing.
• Refrigerant recovery and charging.
• Ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team to effect attainment of agreed targets and objectives
• Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers business requirements and operations
• Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken – a ‘can-do' attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good Working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word
• Completion of all relevant documentation to a high standard.
• General plant room and equipment housekeeping duties.
QAULIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Regional HR Manager
Countries: France, Benelux, Switzerland and Monaco
• Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship in Refrigeration.
• CITB Safety Passport.
• City & Guilds 2078 / 2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling / CITB Ammonia Handling Certificate / A3 Refrigerant Handling / CO2 Refrigerant Handling
• City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• NVQ1, 2 & 3 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Pressure Testing Competency.
• Specific Compressor Manufacturers Training Courses.
• Controls and Strategy experience
