Hiring Deputy Manager in Childcare
Are you experienced in providing exceptional care and support to children with EBD/LD/CSE in a leadership role?
Stratton Mills Recruitment, specialized in Children Social Care roles, is seeking a Deputy Manager to oversee and manage single-bedded & multi bedded care homes in Manchester, where the well-being and development of our young residents are at the heart of everything we do.
Details of the Deputy Manager Role:
Location: Portsmouth & Multiple Locations
Type of Homes: Single- bedded/Multi-bedded
Team Readiness: A full team is prepared for submission to Ofsted under the strong leadership of an outstanding Registered Manager
Immediate Start: We are looking for a candidate who can start immediately or is comfortable with waiting out a notice period.

The Ideal Deputy Manager will have:
Residential childcare experience (2+ years)
Hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
Child Protection experience
Leadership and staff supervision skills
Well-developed written and verbal communication
Management of budgets and staff rotas
Project management skills and have an enthusiastic disposition
Be proactive, solution focused and have an enthusiastic disposition
Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager Role:
To supervise Key/Support Workers and ensure supervision processes are implemented and recorded with designated staff.
To support the RM with the day-to-day running of all aspects of the home Care Home.
To provide the highest level of personal care and attention to young people following individual care plans carefully and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
To promote and encourage positive behavior, education, independence and self-determination.
Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the home, including Ofsted, CQC, COSHH, Health and Safety and all
