Job description

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers for our customer based in Southall, the leading construction equipment hire company in Greater London supplying projects across the London, the Southeast and the Northwest.

PAYE £15.50 per hour (including holiday pay)

ROLE MAY BE ONGOING FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

• Monday to Friday (no weekends)
• Day Shifts
• Start times may vary

Duties:

• To deliver and collect tool / plant hire and construction equipment
• Deliver and collect scaffolding (minimal amount on occasion)
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Use the PDA to mark of all items delivered and collected in line with procedures laid out
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid UK CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN)
• Manual driving licence
• You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes
• At least 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver / LGV / HGV (references required)
• Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C1) in the past 12 months
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards

Rates of pay:

• We pay for a minimum of 10 hours a day (breaks are not paid)
• PAYE £15.50 per hour (including holiday pay)
