KS2 Sports Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor

Working hours: 30 hours per week, term time only

Great Moor Junior School - KS2 Sports Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor – required from 1 st September 2024 (temporary for one year).

Great Moor Junior School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Sports Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor to join our caring, friendly and forward-thinking school.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside our staff team providing learning support and behaviour management in class to individual children within an inclusive environment, support the teaching of games across the school and provide short-term class cover for teachers.

The position would be ideal for graduates to gain further experience before committing to a teacher training course, particularly those with a sports background as some of the week will be supporting the teaching of games lessons.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake lunchtime supervision.

This is a fixed term post for one year starting from 1 st September 2024, 30 hours a week, term time only (including lunchtime duties).

• Is creative and has a passion for working with children with special educational needs/behavioural difficulties
• Is confident in delivering a firm but fair approach
• Is empathetic, patient and uses their initiative when working with children
• Is flexible
