Junior Garment Technologist

Job description
The Junior Garment Technologist reports to the Technologist/Senior Technologist on their department and is responsible for their own product area as well as supporting the technologists with their product areas when needed.
They are key to managing the development of each product within their area and ensuring that each product meets our Boden quality standards.
As a Junior Garment Technologist you will:
- Management of labelling and packaging BOMs
- Managing shipment samples
- Managing AQL process
- Managing testing process
- Presentation of product and feedback from product lockdown meetings
- Managing wearer trials and fabric development
- Product fully legally compliant
- Product developed in line with critical path
- Fit and risk assess own product area
- Achievement of fit returns target for product area and input to returns analysis
- Customer communication (bullet point and customer queries)
- Clear communication with suppliers
- Supplier visits carried out and visit reports completed
- Contribute to supplier appraisal process
- Manage critical path for own product area
- Contribute to strategy packs
- Develop and support junior members of the wider team
We're looking for a Junior Garment Technologist to have:
- Degree or equivalent or relevant experience/qualification
- At least 2 years' relevant experience
- Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of pattern and garment construction
- Knowledge of yarns/fabricsClear communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Great time management
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
