Live-in/out Caretaker

Our client is requiring a live-in or out Caretaker to work on their stunning Estate near Henley-on-Thames. Due to the location, you must be a driver, although a car will be provided when on duty.
You will need to be a good all-rounder, intelligent, proactive, a good team player, and very presentable. This is a physical job at times.
The family are keen on longevity and would like someone to stay with them for the long term. Previous role longevity (4+ years on past roles) is important to the client.
Accommodation is provided – a two-bedroom cottage. Families are welcome. If live-out, you must live within a commutable distance of the property.
Daily Duties:
- Daily checking of all terrace areas, including sweeping/blowing, de-cobwebbing, wiping down, and generally keeping clean and tidy as necessary
- Daily sweeping of the family patio areas and steps
- Rake all gravel areas around the perimeter of the house and associated properties
- Looking after the log store
- Care of the swimming pool and surrounds
- Ensure the Pool House is clean, tidy, and well stocked
- Empty rubbish/recycle bins
General Duties:
- Monitoring exterior light bulbs, including the main house; replace bulbs when needed
- Ensure that all security cameras are always clean, and free of dead flies, cobwebs etc
- Plant Room is adequately filled with salts
- Inspect and clean guttering and hoppers regularly to ensure functioning correctly
- Cleaning of fire grates, vacuuming and laying the fires as necessary
- Assisting with cleaning higher-level lights and chandeliers in conjunction with the Housekeepers
- Ensure the gym is clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- The family vehicle garage and barn should be kept clean and tidy (interior and exterior), the interior mopped as necessary
- Ensure the playground is kept clean, tidy, and debris-free
- During the summer months, ensure that the barbecues are clean and ready for use in the summer
- Garden furniture to always be kept clean and ready for use
- Report any faults or problems to the Assistant Estate Manager or, in his absence, the Estate Manager
- To assist with service in The Coach House, as and when required
- Obtaining a firearms license for the position would be advantageous for the purpose of handling guns
- In conjunction with the Assistant Estate Manager, oversee contractors and the London property
To look after the dogs, as follows:
- Feed/walk as requested – to include evenings if family not in residence
- Wash dog blankets as required
- Purchase food as required
- Take to vet as required
- Regular “pooper scoop” patrol
Driving/vehicle Duties:
- Running errands for the family, Assistant Estate Manager, and Estate Manager as required
- Driving family, guests and staff – sometimes at unsociable hours
- Driving into London to drop off or pick up staff and packages as required
- Driving to/from the airport to drop off/pick up luggage/family/staff/guests (on call out of hours)
- Valet family vehicles, re-fuel, and carry out regular checks on tyres and oil as necessary
- Service/general maintenance of family vehicles, in conjunction with the Assistant Estate Manager
Hours of Work:Core hours of work will be 08:00 until 18:00, with one hour for lunch, five days per week (rostered in advance)
Salary:£45,000.00 plus accommodation; £50,000 if live-out
