Job description
Our client seeks a Senior Finance Operations Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities: Deputise for Financial Operations & Treasury Manager when required, provide oversight to activities within Finance Operations Review general ledger accounts to independent source, investigate differences and provide supporting documentation Remediate reconciliation differences. Review accurately accounts payable & accounts receivable processing. Manage & review daily cash management requirements for the Group bank accounts. Support activities to ensure compliance with Financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency and risk management. Support servicing areas in addressing any inquiries and questions related to Financial Operations. Ensure that the Financial Operational activities are executed and delivered as per the standard set out by the company. Maintain & review financial control framework on ALL Financial operations activities Provide guidance to staff and team-members and assist in providing technical expertise on Financial Operations processes Assist in implementing audit recommendations (both from Internal and External Audit and Compliance if relevant). Key Skills and Experience: Essential - Previous experience in a similar Finance role working at a supervisory level Experience with delegating tasks and experience in Treasury based activities. Self-Motivated and able to motivate others in the team. Good time-management & organisational skills. Strong people skills and proven experience working with different departments. Experienced in analysis/ problem solving/ technical writing - Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and prevention. Open and collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships. Experience/knowledge of payment processing via banking systems such as Barclays or BACS Competent in Microsoft applications: Including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel - intermediate to advanced level. Desirable: Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial processes supporting regulatory reporting for businesses. Holds relevant qualification in leadership Experienced in working with Compliance & Control Framework.
