Job description
Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a specialist defence engineering company working in partnership with UK MOD to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer to produce complex in theatre communication systems.
Negotiable salary dependant on experience plus an excellent set of benefits that includes paid overtime or time off in lieu, onsite gym, flexible working patterns, private medical, enhanced pension contribution.
The Role:
You will be part of a team who are actively engaged in a critical role to support defence programmes to develop military communication systems and associated hardware.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop mathematical models to simulate and assess system design performance using MATLAB/Simulink.
Validate and verify complex electronic circuitry and technical solutions.
Conduct Systems Engineering design and development activities.
The Person
The successful candidate will have systems engineering experience working in the defence industry or direct signals/communications experience in the military/armed forces – particularly within naval or land-based communication systems (such as Bowman).
Experience Required for the Systems Engineer role:
Degree in engineering, maths or science.
Experience of full system lifecycle; requirements, design, development, testing integration and acceptance.
Experience in the development of analogue electronics.
Currently hold SC or have previously held SC clearance with eligibility to gain DV clearance in the near future.
