Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Chair of the Finance, Risk, Audit, Policy & Performance (FRAPP) Committee.

The Chair of FRAPP will also be appointed as Trustee on the Board of BACP.

What will you be doing?

The FRAPP Committee holds delegated authority from the Board for overseeing the Association’s financial procedures and performance; reviewing the financial strategy of the Association; reviewing investment policy and performance; ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations; reviewing income and expenditure as well as budget performance.

The Committee ensures activities are carried out effectively; consider the appointment of the internal and external auditor; maintain relationships with the auditors; discuss problems and reservations arising from audits; reviews the reserves policy and ensures appropriate insurance policies exist.

As a member of the Board of Trustees at BACP, you will support and shape the work and strategic direction of BACP as well as help us to deliver our charitable objectives. At BACP, we believe that counselling changes lives - not just the lives of individuals, but of families and communities. Our work reflects our passion for the value of counselling and its potential to improve lives.

As the Chair of FRAPP, you will create and manage effective working relationships among the Committee, leadership team and the auditors. Given the responsibilities of FRAPP, you will have the opportunity to contribute in a substantive way to the governance of BACP.
