The Environmental and Sustainability Consultant will play a key role in advising clients on environmental and sustainability initiatives, helping them navigate regulatory landscapes, and developing comprehensive strategies to enhance their overall environmental performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, analyzing data, and collaborating with clients to implement sustainable practices that align with their business objectives.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Environmental Compliance Programs Development and Assessments:
- Develop and conduct thorough environmental compliance programs and assessments to assess compliance with relevant regulations, and to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze data related to energy consumption, waste management, water usage, and other environmental metrics.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement environment and sustainability strategies tailored to each client's business model and objectives.
- Advise clients on best practices for reducing their environmental footprint and increasing overall sustainability.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay current on environmental regulations and ensure clients are informed and compliant with local, national, and international environmental laws.
- Provide guidance on obtaining necessary permits and approvals for sustainable projects.
- Environmental Impact Assessment:
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for Teir 1 projects, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation measures.
- Environmental and Social Management Systems
- Develop and deliver Environmental and Social Management Systems in accordance with the ISO14001/2015, international finance institutes and different lending schemes and requirements.
- Environmental Technologies:
- Understanding and proposing environmental solutions/technologies Water, Waste, Emissions control, abatement and management
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental national and international regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Project management experience is a plus.

- Strong Excel and Microsoft knowledge
- Basic knowledge about GIS
- Master or PhD in a relevant field
- HSE management system
- Climate change and climate resilience
- Decarbonization assessment and plans
