Job description

QEGSMAT are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher to join our hardworking and high achieving team at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School. The postholder will have the enthusiasm, drive, and track record of being a successful senior leader and has the personality to inspire and motivate both students and staff. This is an exciting and new opportunity to join the school as a second Deputy Headteacher and QEGSMAT to ensure the quality of education provided and experienced by all students, regardless of their starting point, is the best it can possibly be. You will lead the school to build a culture rich in aspiration, kindness, and inclusion, whilst providing high levels of academic and vocational challenge and pastoral support for all. 

Nestled in the picturesque Derbyshire Dales in the idyllic town of Ashbourne. Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School is a vibrant, rural comprehensive school with a strong record of academic and vocational success. Particularly at Sixth Form, coupled with a huge range of co-curricular opportunities and a real focus on the holistic life of a student.
