Group Service Manager
Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad. We will have seven depots in Newport, Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Cheshire and Lancashire and North Wales.
About the Role
Manages service strategy within the entire organisation to maximise return on investment through service sales growth and the effective management of labour sales, staffing and budget. Optimises Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, growing profitable service labour sales, exercising disciplined expense control, attracting and retaining outstanding talent and effectively engaging department personnel.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains effective, consistent service processes across all workshops to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Monitors individual and overall Service Department performance relative to labour sales, expense control and efficiency
- Setting and achieving group service budget
- Works in conjunction with the Group Parts Manager to develop, maintain and manage the execution of the aftermarket marketing plan for the organisation.
- Takes the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common and consistent processes throughout all workshops of the Service Organisation.
- Supervises group service functions, warranty and MP sales
- Ensures consistent use of available management tools through the entire Service Organisation.
- Meets customers on regular basis to understand their needs and is actively involved in the customer satisfaction process.
- Manages ongoing relationships with key manufacturer personnel.
- Leads and coaches the Service Team, alongside Branch managers using the Dunstall Holdings values
- Involved in employer of choice activities
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in working in a management position
- Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
- Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group; leadership.
- High level of communication and human relations.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data trends
- Exhibits a positive mental attitude.
- Being a decision-maker and open-minded.
- Understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations.
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment, particularly during busy periods.
- Familiar with JCB and New Holland or competitive products
