Hours : 8am - 4.30pm Mon-Thu, 3pm Fri

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join a small but busy People Team on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Supporting the People Manager, you will advise managers on a wide range of employment law matters, people related processes and procedures. Coupled with this, the ideal candidate will have a passion for employee engagement and/or Learning and Development and have a fresh approach to the overall people journey to add value to the Global People Strategy for a temporary period.

This opportunity is ideal for somebody who is ready for a change, who would like exposure to a wider cross functioning People Team that you might not currently. Further, the opportunity to join a global fast paced business that would give you exposure to US, German and Singapore employment law.

Responsibilities of a People Advisor include:

• Providing professional guidance to managers on all ER related issues including; investigations, grievances and disciplinaries and appeals whilst ensuring we remain compliant with Employment law legislation.
• Support on case management; including, Absence Management, Occupational Health referrals
• Escalating areas of concern to the People Manager as appropriate.
• Contributing to People metric reporting pack and identify trends and need of action. HR Data is so important not only to identify areas of concern but to show where HR are adding value.
• Supporting our recruitment processes.
• Assisting with all people activities and comms within the HR remit (i.e. Reward Schemes, Player of the Quarter and company newsletter)
• Assisting with planning and delivering quarterly tool box training to managers and our people.
• Continually thinking how we can bring our PART’s out to play, as #playingyourPART at EU Automation is critical to our further success.
• Ensuring your HR knowledge is up to date and we remain compliant to policies and procedures at all times.
• Being proactive and eager to start projects as required and know how this can improve and add to our peoples performance.
• This role may require some travel to our Birmingham office on a monthly basis.

Requirements of a People Advisor:

• Demonstrable experience at HR Advisor level with ideally between 2-3 years experience.
• Experience of advising managers at all levels on complex employee relations issues
• Experience of successfully supporting change management projects
• Competent understanding of all areas of employment legislation in particular with reference to Employee Relations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator and ability to work both autonomously and as part of the wider team.
• CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent qualification/experience
• Be a team player and proactive, inline with our company Values.
