Job description
The successful UK Service Engineer will work on the maintenance and calibration according to company service and calibration procedures
This role involves;
- Reporting unusual errors, describe and explain error (route cause and solving)
- Troubleshoot and evaluate manufactured and distributed products and applicable electronic circuitry
- Identify and summarize failure modes for quality and engineering purposes
- Perform telephone technical support and issue return authorization when necessary
- Properly use equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job defined in work orders
- On-site visits if necessary (make appointment and execution)
- Support service training and seminars to customers, if needed
- Documents actions by completing production and service forms
- Meets service repair goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
To be successful in this role of UK Service Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
- Basic electrical / electronic and mechanical understanding
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Basic understanding of Fluke Meters, Hipot, DVM's and Variac Testers
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to take responsibility for quality of work performed
- Ability to effectively write and read English
