Location: Salisbury
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per a week
Our client:
Our client has a forecourt retail empire that was built from scratch in 1994. As they have grown, they have acquired many garages and off licences within the South of England, with retail partnerships with the likes of M&S and Londis.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their career. You will be responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, and coaching of new store employees as well as managing store inventory levels and ordering new products as necessary. Supervising the store and ensuring all departments in the store function effectively. Serving as a resource on store information and policies for customers and employees and supporting the team. Ensuring sales targets are achieved through effective team management.
Responsibilities:
· Uphold a high standard of customer relations, operate the stock control system, ensure correct pricing and display, maintain overall cleanliness, and fulfil tasks outlined in the Store Visit report log as directed by the Directors.
· Ensure daily KPI’s are achieved with effective team management.
· Maintain positive staff relations, provide training and development following current legislation and Company procedures, enforce discipline and grievance procedures, allocate work and maintain schedules, and ensure up-to-date personnel information and staff details are kept.
· Enforce all security measures mandated by the Company and report accidents promptly.
· Efficiently deploy staff, minimize stock shrinkage through control and checks.
· Operate cash and accounting systems, maintain accurate and up-to-date store administration, prepare monies for banking, and secure them in a locked safe until collected by the approved cash collection agency.
· Consistently complete the Store Standards Diary daily, complying with statutory regulations and Local Authority directives, and perform operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
Skills and Requirements:
· Petrol station experience is essential for this role.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams.
· Pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· Pro-active and results-orientated mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
