Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Account Manager to join a speciality chemical business and further develop their Personal Care market. They are open to varying levels of experience, from a scientific graduate looking for their first role, to a more accomplished account manager in this market. You will be travelling to UK customers 3 days a week and office based for the other 2 days.
The Role
The role will have responsibility for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with their customers, developing new business, and giving technical support to customers’ R&D teams.
Develop strong technical understanding of our wide range of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits, and formulation characteristics.
Understanding the needs of each of our customers, from brands to formulators and contract
Visiting a variety of UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.
Communicating scientific information clearly and
Demonstration of our ingredients in prototype formulations to showcase Aston’s portfolio to
Gather and share trends information to help our R&D team develop market trend
Attend relevant industry events, such as UK and Global
Develop strategies and growth plans for customer accounts, to seek out new business
A strong scientific education and preferably a degree in a scientific
Full UK driving
