About The Role
As a US Finance Manager at Wren Kitchens, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies for our US side of the business.
This role involves conducting comprehensive reviews, from balance sheet reconciliations to analytical assessments of financial and non-financial external returns. Weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) packs will be part of your routine, demonstrating your commitment to insightful reporting.
The role is based fully on-site at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber in North Lincolnshire.
Main responsibilities:
- Preparation of weekly/monthly accounts with commentary
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that company policies are followed
- Year-end audit activities and preparation of statutory financial statements
- External reporting compliance
- Balance sheet reconciliation reviews
- Fixed overhead spend reviews, providing strong cost control
- Review asset register
- Maintain lease and HP accounting
- Supplier due diligence
- Review purchasing spend tracking rebates, optimisation of payment terms
- Identify opportunities for cost mitigation, propose a business case
- Providing commentary to the business to back-up accounts schedules
- Associating values to the business challenge
- Driving continuous improvement and developing processes

About You
Desired skills and knowledge:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is preferable
- Experience of using a recognised ERP system (preferably IFS)
- Pro-active approach
- Excellent attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- A lasting commitment to “doing the job right” and challenging the status quo
