Process Technician – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Camberley, who are looking for a Process Technician to join their growing team. The successful Process Technician will have experience of tool setting, tool changes, process optimisation, trouble shooting and basic machine maintenance of Injection Moulding machinery.
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

Responsibilities for Process Technician:
- To Supervise and make accountable the work of assigned operatives
- To set-up tools, stabilise the process and conduct1st off, patrol and last off inspections
- To provide technical and all other support to assigned operatives
- Setting of tool and machine for new works orders, in line with the production plan
- Ensure that the machine settings are captured for the part being set
- Making adjustments to the tools/machines as required during production run
- Following start-up and shutdown procedures after and before periods of the machine not running
- Conditioning of material as defined by the quality pack/plan
- Conducting inspections as defined in the quality plan
- Ensuring that operatives are fully aware of what is expected of them
- Ensuring that operatives are fully trained in the processes and operations that they are working on
- Ensuring that operatives follow all requirements of the company’s procedures and policies
- Ensure that any quality alerts are printed and shared with operatives
- Ensuring that operatives work in harmony and efficiently at all times
- Provide operative with all required ancillary equipment and PPE
- Holding operatives to account for the quality of their work and their conduct
- Ensuring that operatives report all the work they carry out (production and quality bookings)
- Ensure that all packed product is correctly labelled including the operator stamp
- Move completed product to agreed designated area together with completed paperwork, 1st/last off and QCP
- Weigh count and identify (with GRN) any surplus raw material and place on returns rack in the yard
- Conduct ‘tool-check’, request maintenance (if required) and move the tool to the correct location at the end of run
- Report all problems encountered during the shift
- Discuss and review any problems or issues arising from the prior shift
- Review the human resources available on the shift
- Use the whiteboard to identify which technician is managing which machine
- Direct all operatives in the work that they are expected to do
- Review and check that all materials and equipment required by the operator are available
- Set and sign off any tools required
- Re-assign operatives as required
- Conduct 1st off/last off quality checks and report these on the system
- Conduct patrol inspections as defined by the quality control plans
- Ensure that all paperwork and information is available and being used correctly by all operatives
- Carryout training and record this as required
- Report any problems and take necessary actions to minimise its impact on production or quality ensure that any start-up or production scrap is reported and segregated
- Monitor the conduct and output of all operatives
