A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in Europe’s leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services. We are looking for a Security Cleared (minimum SC) Third Line Analyst (Wintel) who will join a small team supporting a several distinct customers from our Computacenter Office in Milton Keynes. This role will be primarily focused on delivering a BAU/Project services within a shared service delivery model.
What you’ll do
The ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Managed Services, providing specialised support across Windows Server platforms. They should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate the ability to make key technical decisions on their own accord. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone, whilst having the ability to assess and prioritise tasks without close supervision is essential. A willingness to learn new technologies and adopt new processes is key.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Designing, developing and deployment of technologies on Windows Platforms
- Offering solutions and workarounds to incidents/problems
- Working to SLA’s and deadlines
- Review of services and application delivery
- Prioritising and managing several tasks at a single time
- Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike
- Keep up to date with advancements in technology
- Work with a variety of customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements
- Providing Remote On-Call Out of Hours Support
- DV or SC Clearance or the ability to secure clearance will be needed
What you’ll need
The Candidate should have experience in the following:
- Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019) – including server core
- Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.)
- Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP and Kerberos
- Understands the interdependency between Active Directory and DNS
- PKI and Certificate Management
- Quest Tools (Active Roles, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager)
- Anti-virus technologies (SCEP, Defender.)
- Server hardware including HP, Dell and Cisco UCS
- DV or SC Clearance is essitential
Desirable
- Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.)
- Exposure to Virtualisation technologies VMware and Hyper V.
- Exposure to Messaging technologies
- Azure AD technologies including Azure AD Connect, ADFS, Azure SSO and PIM
