Job description

Job Purpose

Our client has an exciting opportunity for Software Development Tutors to join them to help provide teaching, learning and assessment marking to students undertaking an intensive twelve-week Software Development Skills Bootcamp programme.

As a Software Development Skills Bootcamp Tutor, you will use your own knowledge and experience to teach and support learners completing the Software Development Skills Bootcamp programme. You will deliver the fundamentals of writing programmes, rapid application development (RAD,) software architecture, software configuration management tools, interface design and more.

This role is fundamental in their organisation’s ambition of ensuring that learners gain the new knowledge and skills required to make exceptional progress with their development, achieve high grades and are ultimately successful in obtaining their programme of study in a timely manner.

As a flexible Skills Bootcamp Tutor, you will be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week during days, evenings and/or weekends.

Interview Preparation

Candidates who are successful in being invited for interview will be required to prepare and deliver a micro teach to the interview panel. Task specific details will be provided with interview confirmation.

Our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk of harm or abuse, and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for appointments to this post and references are obtained prior to appointment

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and TSN is therefore permitted to ask applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults. Salary : £28 per hour

Hours : To be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours work per week
