Commercial Services Group is recruiting for an IT Project Manager on behalf of Cantium Business Solutions, part of Commercial Services Group.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

The Role
Cantium Business Solutions are looking for a result driven Project Manager. If you have experience delivering a range of IT Projects in an enterprise or public sector environment we’d like to hear from you.


Cantium’s IT Project Managers are responsible for the definition, documentation and completion of small to medium scale projects, while monitoring project risks and ensuring they are delivered in time and within budget. We are a Microsoft Gold Partner, therefore experience working with Microsoft technologies would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have delivered projects working within a large-scale IT Managed Services organisation and be able to demonstrate those project outcomes and their role in them.


This is a hybrid working role, the successful candidate will be based from our Kings Hill office 2 days per week, please consider this before making your application.

Key Duties

• Define, document and execute small to medium scale IT projects
• Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project
• Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and all activities are tracked against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders. Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed plans
• Provide leadership to the project team ensuring everyone feels motivated and assist with developing less experienced team members where applicable
• Assess project risks and ensure that any potential scheduling and performance issues have minimum impact on other services keeping colleagues and stakeholders updated throughout
• Work within a defined organisation governance framework

What we need from you

• Prince2 Foundation or equivalent qualification
• Experience in all levels of project management and change practice
• Experience leading IT Projects within a large multi-service organisation or public sector
• Technically minded and keeps up to date with latest technology trends and developments to use in own sphere of work
• Proficient with methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing, directing, coordinating and monitoring ongoing non-project activities
• Experience managing projects on the Microsoft platform would be desirable
• An excellent communicator
