About the role

Do you have experience with working in the Water Industry or maybe you have an Engineering Degree or Engineering qualification, or you have experience having worked as a Technical Manager. If so then we are looking for someone like you to join our team in Peterborough working as Solutions Engineer (Process ,Mech, Elec or Civil) on our Anglian Water contract.

What you'll be doing

Working as a Solutions Engineer you will work within the @One Alliance Solutions Ream to support Anglian Water with engineering solutions generation for their 5-year project in AMP7 programme.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Working with stakeholders identify information and data required to define and quantify solutions, to support the Risk Opportunity and Value (ROV) process.
- Engage with and sometimes lead regular stakeholder meetings
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress and highlight any challenges.
- Lead the development of viable solutions for individual projects.
- Undertake design risk assessments in accordance with the Alliances CDM procedures.
- Support the Solutions Managers and Design Team to produce Project Plan for Stage and the Basis of Design, considering opportunity and risk.
- Ensure stakeholders remain engaged with regular updates on progress and issues.
- Deputise for Portfolio Solutions Managers as required.
- Undertake analysis of the data, for generating viable solution options, including gap and risk analysis of the data.
- Actively manage the correct storing and sharing of the data.
- Lead and coordinate site investigations and data collection.
- Ensure TOTEX, Benefits Realisation, and Six Capitals are core to solution development and selection.
- Work with the Solutions Team, @one Design and Delivery Teams, and Anglia Water
stakeholders to assess the viability of options, and their ability to meet the objectives.
- Conduct regular stakeholder engagement to gain feedback

Skills: As a Solutions Engineer, we would like you to have good teamwork, communication and planning and organisation skills so you are able to work in your team to ensure any projects are done to the best. We want you to be able to take ownership of problems and use initiative to achieve a solution. To balance between analysis and action and have that willingness to learn.

Experience: Ideally you will have experience either having worked in the Water Industry, as a Solution engineer or you will have a engineering degree or qualification. Experience as a Technical Manager is desirable for this role.
