Job description
As part of our continued support to a major OEM in the aerospace industry, we are currently looking for a number of aerospace Design Approvers with experience of Catia and ideally of working on the A350. These are permanent roles based out of our Emersons Green, Bristol office but will be on a hybrid working basis. The salary will dependent on the experience level, seniority, etc.
The role will be working from home with the occasional visit to our client's facility in Bristol.
- Responsibility for the checking and approval of Design in terms of timescale, cost and quality.
- Working with the relevant stakeholders as appropriate, to report on the technical progress of tasks.
- Checking and approval of technical deliverables to a high standard (e.g. drawings, models, reports, presentations, ECMs)
- Coaching and mentoring more junior design engineers.
- Identification of potential variations to work scope, or rework at an early stage and escalation to the technical lead.
- Ensure the adherence to the Company's Quality Assurance Policies in any work undertaken on the project.
- Responsibility for compiling, checking and approving delivery of Aerostructures engineering Design on time and quality. To achieve this, you will work in teams of engineers to ensure the requirement is delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Single Aisle Build Knowledge (not essential)
- A350 knowledge
- At least 5 years’ experience in engineering design / checking.
