Job description
This contract with our central government client is for a Maintenance Delivery Scheduler for 18 months. The role is located in Aldermaston and requires 3 days per week onsite with the rest remote working.
Job Description:
To enable improved scheduling of maintenance activities and facilitating solutions to potential conflicts such as resource, equipment, spares & plant availability providing an optimised maintenance schedule to the maintenance delivery teams.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for the development of a maintenance schedule aligned to optimised maintenance windows ensuring all maintainers, service providers, resources, tools and parts are scheduled and able to deliver against each activity.
- Accountable for monitoring the schedule and reporting to the Planner progress and issues with activities which have the potential to exceed final delivery date.
- Accountable for monitoring incoming Call Centre activities and schedule appropriately according to service level agreements.
- Accountable for the creation of breakdowns, follow-ons, tasking, spares ordering work orders and potential other activities.
- All - maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- The production and delivery of a balanced, achievable and optimised maintenance schedule to the maintenance planner, including monitoring and reporting on all activities which could have an adverse effect on the successful delivery of the schedule.
- Producing and analysing maintenance data from AMS to inform and present to the Planner and other identified stakeholders, of performance.
- Responsible for making amendments to AMS as directed by the planner.
- Responsible for attending / facilitating local area scheduling meetings to ensure de-confliction of the schedule providing a focal point for all service providers delivering maintenance for their area of responsibility.
- Responsible for maintaining effective utilisation of maintenance resource.
- Responsible for monitoring and enforcing service provider compliance against work order management process.
- All - Responsible for maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
Requirements
- Active DV Clearance
- Scheduling/planning experience in a maintenance/production background
- Asset management systems, eg Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience working with multiple service providers
- Nuclear/hazardous materials experience is bonus – not essential but would help them understand the background.
- MS Office, including Excel. Basic to intermediate level.
- Flexible in approach. If need to stay back when something happening on their section for example. They will get time back but want someone who will do what is needed for the job to get done.
- Team Player. Support each other, cover annual leave. Big team, spread across both sites.
