Job Title: Client Liaison - Fusion Energy Sector

Location: Stockton (On-site Supplier Location)

Contract Type: Full-time, 6-month contract initially, with potential for extension

Start Date: 1st March 2024

Rullion is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Client Liaison professional to join our esteemed client, UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), in the exciting field of Fusion Energy. Role Overview:

As a Client Liaison, you will serve as the face of UKAEA within the integrated supplier-UKAEA project team. Based at the supplier site in Stockton, you will ensure seamless communication, collaboration, and integration between UKAEA and the supplier. Reporting to the UKAEA Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving project success by overseeing performance, managing risks, and fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent UKAEA within the integrated project team, working closely with the UKAEA Project Manager.
Monitor and report on the performance of the integrated team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and schedules.
Facilitate effective communication and partnership between UKAEA and the supplier, acting as a conduit for information exchange.
Provide Project Management assurance to ensure adherence to UKAEA's requirements, budget, and schedule.
Identify and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities to maximize project value and mitigate potential setbacks.
Collaborate with the UKAEA Project Manager to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project success.
Support the implementation of lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and validate the supplier's labour expenditure within monthly payment applications.
Requirements:

Essential:

Qualified Project Management Professional (e.g., APM PMQ, Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes) or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects or major work packages on time and within budget.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and external Tier 1 contractors/suppliers.
Passion for promoting good project management practices and fostering a collaborative culture.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make informed economic decisions.
Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations 2015, and NEC contracts.
Desirable:

APM or RICS(PM) chartered.
NEC3 or NEC4 contract qualifications.
Experience as a lead project or programme manager for multiple major complex engineering projects.
Background knowledge or understanding of fusion science and/or technology and engineering.
