Segal Placements is excited to be working as the EXLUSIVELY RETAINED agent on this exciting and unique opportunity where we are helping a small/mid-sized but perfectly formed London Law Firm (City) to recruit a Head of Litigation into that team due to succession issues.
This firm works on both domestic and international matters although the current Head of team, a senior figure within the firm, is soon to be stepping down from fee-earning duties although will remain at the firm as a Consultant. As a result the Firm's loyal and long-standing client base will still need their contentious matters serviced as they will continue to be push into the Firm by this individual.
Consequently, there is a steady stream of work to instantly tap into and hence the need for a 'large following' is not necessary in this instance (although the right candidate should, over the course of their career, have been able to nurture at least some sort of client base or referrer network in that time even if not overly sizeable).
This role is open to either current Partners or else to senior non-Partners (Senior Associates, Of Counsel, Legal Directors of at least 9PQE). Being a UK Qualfied Lawyer is essential
The successful individual will have a broad commercial litigation background (any sort of contentious insolvency involvement whilst not necessary would be of additional benefit) but more importantly will have the experience and gravitas to sufficiently reassure the current clients of the Firm that they remain in safe hands.
Previous experience of mentoring more junior members of team would also be helpful.
