Job description

Sharpsmart Finance team is expanding, we have a new vacancy for a Billing Analyst to join the team. The Billing Analyst will be responsible for coordinating with Sharpsmart departments to ensure all sales and orders are accurately billed for, setting clients up for billing, issuing invoices, and ensuring invoices correspond with balance sheet reports. A high degree of accuracy and keen eye for detail are essential to the success of this role.

Your role will involve:

• Review unbilled billing to check processed weights and service charges are in line with contract
• Working with plant admin teams to ensure ticket entries are correct and timely route closures
• Processing weekly invoices for ad hoc services and monthly
• Working with sales ledger to resolve invoice queries and credit control
• Assisting with customer reporting
• Submitting rebate reports for frameworks
• Submitting invoices on relevant customer portals
• Ensuring purchase orders are correct for service contracts
• Assisting with revenue forecasting & reporting

Skills and experience:

• Minimal AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field or ACA, ACCA, CIMA is preferred.
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with billing and invoicing software.
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Driving license and willingness to travel on occasion
