Job description
Axcis Education are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant for a school in Dorchester, Dorset.
The school are looking for an experienced classroom assistant to work with a SEND pupil on a 1:1 basis who also needs support and has SEMH. The role is at a rural primary school in the Dorchester area, close to Cerne Abbas. It starts ASAP and would be for the remainder of the academic year with the aim of becoming a permanent member of staff at the school. The school is a small village school in Dorset who works tirelessly in teaching children through creative education to achieve their goals in a safe, happy and enjoyable environment. The school are proud of their community and this is a big ethos taught to the children. They were also rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted in 2020. The suitable candidate for this position must have experience working with SEMH and ideally have supported primary age pupils as a teaching assistant. You will be assisting the teacher’s lesson plan and supporting the children with their school work, socialisation and any day to day duties throughout the school day whilst also developing the children’s independence and confidence.
