Job description
Pure are delighted to be partnering with a leading specialist in electrical engineering and maintenance of LV & HV power systems. They have been established for over 50 years, and work with a wide range of blue chip organisations, utility companies, and facilities groups amongst many others.
The company has experienced continued success and year-on-year growth. Due to this success, they are expanding and seeking experienced Electrical Technicians on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe & successful delivery of works & providing accurate and technically sound reports.
Other key duties of your role will include;
- Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to onsite.
- Take instruction from the Contracts Engineer, ensuring all works are carried out in a safe and correct manner as required.
- Work to RAMS, problem solving on-site if deviations are absolutely necessary.
- Undertake all electrical engineering works specific to client / site / project including but not limited to: Maintenance, Installations, Testing.
- Provide technical support & solutions to operational staff and clients.
- Ensure all works are carried out in a safe, correct and cost effective manner as required.
- Ensure Toolbox Talks are delivered and on-site safety assessments are undertaken and briefed to the working party.
- Complete relevant paperwork & Motivity reports to quality standards, ensuring it is accurate.
- Ensure all required supplies are to hand.
- Collect and drop off any required materials or test equipment.
- Adhere to expected performance, behaviour and quality standards.
- Comply with Health & Safety Policy and procedures and assist to achieve a safe-system-of work.
- Ensure operational staff comply with all policies and procedures.
- Adhere to and abide by Electrical Safety Rules.
- Attend and successfully complete any identified training courses & development needs.
The ideal applicant will have extensive experience of LV & HV maintenance as well as installations and testing experience. It would also be preferable if you have the 18th Edition qualification.

- Electrical Engineering background (ONC or equivalent experience)
- PTL Competency Certificate: Upto and including CP6
- IOSH
- First Aid
- CCNSG
- ECS Skills Card
- Water Hygiene / Client Passports
- Manual Handling
- Safe Use & Inspection of Ladders
- Working at Height
- Asbestos Awareness
- PASMA / IPAF
You will also be able to read and write English to an acceptable level in order to effectively complete reports, and be able to use IT software packages. You will have a full UK drivers licence, and be willing to undertake any relevant training offered to upskill.
