This role will develop new technologies and the system integration across the business, with input into the vehicle system and propulsion system. The role will involve utilising virtual engineering tools to lead the concept development and problem resolution with cross-functional teams.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for concept development and problem resolution with both Core and Programme teams, with the use of virtual engineering tools
- Deliver vehicle programme simulations as required
- Provide support and mentoring to Simulations Engineers and non-Simulation Engineers in defining the information required to produce robust models and system / sub-system solutions
- Manage the creation Propulsion System Models and development of appropriate standards
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Excellent knowledge of 1D Electro Thermal and mechanical CAE tools (GT Suite, Simulink, matlab etc), techniques and the associated analysis processes.
- Excellent knowledge of thermal attribute assessments related to powertrain 1D analysis.
- Knowledge of Powertrain Units & Systems design principles and attributes.
- Evidence of consistent and repeatable deployment of problem-solving techniques
- Experience in the delivery of complex CAE projects in an Automotive Engineering environment, including evidence of process improvement activities and execution of Quality Operating Systems.
- Previous experience of model integration and development of physics based models
- Technical and practical knowledge of Simulation commodities
- Previous programme delivery experience, with strong influencing and engagement skills
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
