Finance Business Partner – Public Sector (PFI, Cluster, Cleaning & FM Lite)
The purpose of the role Your core mission as Finance Business Partner is to monitor the sector and contract financial performance and business growth. You will represent finance, actively contributing as a member of the team, helping stakeholders understanding, controlling, and improving the Integral Business. This will be achieved by bringing insight to decision-making, improving visibility on the cost drivers, adding financial acumen into the strategic initiatives, as well the day-to-day activities.
You will report directly to the Divisional Finance Director and the role will be based at any Integral office with hybrid working.

- c£60m Revenue, c10 Finance employees
- Hard FM services provided to 50+ clients in Public sector settings such as schools, universities, hospitals, health centres and local authority buildings. Cleaning and soft services provided to 30+ private and public sector clients.
- The Cleaning and FM Lite sub sector is a key strategic growth area for Integral.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering – Strategically partner with the operations team in achieving financial targets & driving profitable growth through in-depth analyses, sharing of key financial insights (standard and ad-hoc reporting) and in taking day-to-day and strategic business financial decisions.
- Month End Process – Ownership of this process from start to finish to deliver in line with Group reporting deadlines and reporting results to senior management.
- Presentation & Strategic acumen – Building & sharing the story behind the numbers, propose recommendations, align corrective actions with sector Leadership Team and co-drive the execution.
- Financial planning – Includes developing coherent and robust annual forecasting, estimates and supporting the strategic direction for the sector and developing these into short (Forecast), medium (Budget) and long-term plans. Analysis of actual results vs. budget or forecast and presenting results, identifying, recommending, or supporting cost savings and/or performance improvement initiatives.
- Process Improvement – Be source of proposals regarding existing processes improvement and simplification in alignment with finance overall and the operations team.
- Working Capital – Actively manage operating cashflows and working capital positions to achieve contractually agreed positions and maximise Company cashflow. Drive both profit improvement and cash generation initiatives.
- Support - Supporting the DFD in delivery of strategic actions, including scrutiny and challenge on spend trends through the sector and maximising profitability. In addition, the development and implementation of best financial practices, and line management of the assistant Finance Business Partners / Lead Admins.
Requirements
- ACCA/CIMA Fully / Part Qualified Accountant / Qualified by Experience would be considered.
- Minimum 3 years solid track record in finance with previous experience in a business partnering role
- Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- We are looking for a strong analytical and numerical mind who is confident to work with complex and big amounts of data. You can communicate efficiently with senior management and have excellent excel skills involving Pivot tables and sumifs formulas.
- You possess a can-do attitude with a positive forward-looking mind-set and the ability to navigate through ambiguity and to challenge the status-quo.
- Ability to work under pressure, organised with an ability to handle multiple assignments.
- To enhance organizational effectiveness, you are a team player who works cooperatively with others and finally a problem solver who identifies causes of problem situations and recommends solutions.
