Job description

Robert Half is recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a business based in South Birmingham.

The role

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills with high attention to detail. You should be capable of working proactively under your own initiative and as part of a team. The applicant is required to provide credit control assistance and other accounting duties to support the Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Posting BACS and card payments
• Answering calls/email and resolving queries
• Managing Direct Debits
• Chasing overdue debts
• Allocating payments
• Reviewing credit limits
• Printing/posting weekly invoices/credits and monthly statements
• Setting up new accounts
• Creating weekly/monthly electronic statements
• Creating weekly stop lists

• Full time, 39 hours per week Monday - Friday

• £26,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a credit control background
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate on all levels
• Good computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Capable of meeting deadlines
• Able to maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service
