Transport Coordinator

Up to £30,000pa d.o.e + Bonus, NN17 1QE, 29 days holiday, 8am till 5pm Monday to Friday, Pension, Training, Free Parking, Permanent, Immediate Start

Due to continued success, our Corby depot of our midlands based family run company has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join them. You will providing customer support to an array of midlands based clients, daily route planning of both internal fleet and sub-contractors drivers daily deliveries:

• Planning and scheduling daily midlands based collections and deliveries, for between 25 and 30 drivers
• Liaising with drivers throughout the day via telephone, advising them of their following day schedule and any changes to current day requirements
• Coordinating with customers in relations to ETA's, advising customers of any unexpected delays or disruptions
• Ordering raw materials from internal and external supplier, arranging collection times
• Processing incoming customer orders via telephone and email, majority of orders are next day delivery, managing customers expectations when next day delivery isn't possible
• Processing payment for cash sales, opening despatch orders for invoices on credit accounts
• Issuing quotations for small to medium orders, fact finding and escalating information to company Sales Manager for larger orders
• All administration duties related to the role.

We would expect the successful Transport Coordinator to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of planning and logistics, be an excellent communicator, enjoy working to tight time deadlines, and have a friendly confident manner, with the ability to build relationships with customers and drivers. The ideal candidate would be Transport Manager CPC qualified, but not essential. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role if you have worked within a Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator or Customer Account Coordinator position.
