We are working with a well-established and esteemed secondary school located in the picturesque town of Shrewsbury. : As a Science Teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage students and foster a love for science. From biology and chemistry to physics, you will cover a range of topics, helping students develop their understanding of the natural world and scientific principles.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons tailored to the needs of students.
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
* Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, schemes of work, and assessments.
* Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience for students.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field; PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
* Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably in a similar school setting.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational trends and best practices.
