Job description
This newly created Financial Controller will form a key part of the Finance team for Rapidly Growing Fintech Firm Paying £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience and currently operating a 2 day a week in the office with a Discretionary bonus. Located right next to Knightsbridge Station.
Role
This Financial Controller Role will help the Fintech Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the CFO in providing support to the APAC region! Please find a outline of the role below
- Development and implementation of financial strategies and planning.
- To provide proactive advise to the CFO and Finance teams on the businesses performance and financial controllership
- Identify and advise on ways in which the business can maximise the financial resources available to it.
- Financial controllership - of all APAC financial records. This will including data integrity of the ledger, working with operations and other teams to ensure timely receipt of trading and operational data to prepare financial records and other returns.
- Ownership of all relevant statutory and regulatory audits - are completed and filed on / ahead of time.
- Financial regulatory filings - Ensure financial data / components of financial requests are completed on time ensure sufficient granularity that is repeatable on a regular basis.
- Prepare financial updates - to external trading partners and investors as required.
- Financial management reporting (Cost centre reporting) - ensure Exco members have sufficient operating / expense cost date for them and their teams and work with the Head of FP&A to follow up on action items
- Financial forecasting - including modelling the operating businesses and the impact on the wider group.
- Assess the financial and reporting impact - of new Products and markets / entities, including advising on pricing and other analytics
Profile
The Financial Controller Role for this Fintech firm is ideally looking for
- Someone who's 3-5 Post Quailed Experience ACA Qualified from a Top Ten Firm- experience within transactional services is a massive advantage.
- Someone with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Someone who's had exposer to NetSuite.
- Someone from a Fintech or Brokerage

The Financial Controller will report into a hugely impressive CFO who is keen to develop people within the team and prides on promoting from within. The Fintech Firm, the business is growing and expanding which offers genuine career development. The Fintech Firm have gone through rapid growth, and this is a role due to growth! The head count of the business is around 150 people and 40 in the UK and this is looking to double this year! The Fintech are also looking to expand in the US and APAC region this year!
Salary & Benefits
Salary is bench marked between £80,000 - £100,000 depending on experience. Additionally, there is a Discretionary bonus and hybrid working of 2 days in the office. As well you will be elidable for shares from day one in the business.
