Job description

My client a well established manufacturing company based in Altham is looking for a Reach and Counterbalance driver to join their day shift.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: From £11.99 per hour
• Work Location: In person
• The hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm Friday 8am-3:30pm.

Duties:

• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials in a warehouse setting
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on forklift equipment
• Use a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift
• Perform heavy lifting of materials when necessary

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot any issues with the forklift
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Proficiency in using a warehouse management system to track inventory
• Basic math skills for inventory counting and calculations

Please note that this position requires the ability to operate a forklift, perform heavy lifting, and work in a warehouse environment.
