Mental Health Nurse

Location : Remote (with occasional travel)

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team on a freelance/contract basis, with the opportunity for a permanent role in the future. The primary responsibilities of this role will include case referrals, counseling and interventions, capacity assessments, and training delivery.

Main Duties:

• Case Referrals: Our clients' employees requiring mental health support will be referred to you, to facilitate appropriate action plans and report on the progress and wellbeing of the individual.
• Counseling and Interventions: Provide empathetic counseling and evidence-based interventions to individuals experiencing mental health challenges to help them stay in, or safely and effectively return to work.
• Capability Assessments: Conduct capacity assessments to evaluate individuals' safety and ability to perform in the workplace.
• Training Delivery: Develop and deliver educational programs and training sessions on mental health topics for employees and managers.

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health nursing.
• Experience in conducting capacity assessments and providing counseling services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications or training in mental health counseling or psychotherapy
• Experience in delivering mental health training programs in a corporate or occupational health setting
