Job description

Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH) are looking for 3 Repair & Maintenance Supervisors to be the first point of contact for technical advice to staff and trades operatives and will spend time out on CBH Estates and in the home of our tenants, providing advice to tenants and diagnosing repairs, creating and issuing work orders and specifications and overseeing completion of works. CBH aspires to attain high levels of customer satisfaction through the delivery of first-class Repairs and Maintenance services, the Supervisor role is key to this and will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Building Services Team, and all other CBH teams to achieve positive outcomes for CBH colleagues and customers.

The successful candidates will have the following:
• Demonstrable practical experience in building construction and repairs.
• Management of colleagues including operatives and contractors.
• Diagnosis of building defects at properties and follow recognised building practice and best practice to resolve.
• Experience of using IT including Microsoft packages, housing management systems and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant)
• An understanding and commitment to Equality & Diversity.
