Automotive Coachbuilder
£17 per hour plus enhanced overtime rates
E-ppl Ltd is a leading company in the automotive industry, providing Managed Services to OEMs within the UK and overseas. Our projects encompass a wide range of activities, from launch support projects to quality campaigns.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Automotive Coachbuilder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating complex parts and assemblies to support the manufacturing process. You will work from drawings and schematics, using hand tools and cutting machinery to modify and alter vehicles and parts. Additionally, you will be involved in fitting and assembling various bespoke components and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Requirements
The main responsibilities for the successful candidates are:
· To fabricate bespoke parts and assemblies to support the manufacturing process.
· Upgrade glass fitment, removal and refitment of interior trims.
· Work to vehicle build specifications.
· Remove and refit interior trims & light mechanical work.
· General modifications to original vehicle build.
· Fitting and assembly of metal, wood, and laminate components to vehicles during the assembly process in accordance with the customer and build specifications.
· Use site equipment and/or hand tools associated with the manufactures.
· Compliance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures.
· Keeps work area clean.
· Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment.
Coachbuilder Requirements:
· Minium 3 years’ experience in a professional workshop environment
· Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
· The ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
· You will be able to work both skilfully and safely and adhere to timelines/deadlines effectively.
· The workload is liable to change minute to minute, so we need someone who is flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
· A Practical trade test will be conducted to test proficiency and skill.
· Experience using hand tools and basic cutting machinery to modify and alter the vehicles and parts.
· You will have the ability to read and interpret plans, instructions, and diagrams.

Possible overtime may be available on Friday and Saturday.
Weekend overtime with premium rate
