Job description

U-Educate are currently working closely with a secondary school in Southampton who are recruiting for a brilliant Maths teacher to join their staffing team.

The desired applicant will be enthusiastic, driven and have a passion for teaching. They will be familiar with preparing and delivering engaging lessons and helping to improve attainment. They will also be confident in working with a mix of abilities and adapting their teaching style accordingly.

You will be responsible for delivering Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4, marking will be expected as part of the commitment to this role.

• Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching
• Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
• A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students.
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of delivering Maths KS3 and KS4 level
• Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
• Be educated to degree level
• Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
