First Call Aviation are currently recruiting for a Multi-Modal Imports Manager to work near Heathrow Airport, Hounslow.
Shifts: 9am-5:30pm
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £40’000 per annum, dependant on experience
The imports manager role is directly involved with all imported goods received into the country of destination. The main responsibility is to arrange and manage transportation cycle by air and sea, and to ensure all paperwork is completed / legally acceptable by customs clearances. You may be required to travel globally as and when required.
Main Duties of a Multi-Modal Imports Manager:
Book shipments with airlines / ships, and putting these into operating systems.
Negotiate terms/rates and handle customer enquiries.
Submit customs clearances into ICE system.
Process shipping line invoices for payment prior to delivery.
Maintain excellent relationships.
Update and maintain customer schedules.
Invoicing and Quotations, processing payments / paperwork for accounts.
Track shipment status, looking out for and dealing with any incidents.
Maintain and pass KPI service standards.
Communicate with customers on the shipping status.
Identify carriers offering better / alternative routes.
Additional Requirements:
Participate in annual performance appraisal.
Work in accordance to all company policies.
Have detailed knowledge of the companies business plan and support business development.
Great communication skills.
Teamwork, organisation and planning skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Numeracy and Computer literacy.
