Job Description
Based on one of our sites, the individual will ensure the effective ensure the effective management and delivery of multiple Energy contracts, ensuring programme requirements are met whilst working in line with both Company and divisional objectives and achieving the client and customer aspirations and expectations. To manage contracts to achieve targets in respect of safety, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
Management of construction activities
- Safety- Ensuring site standards maintained, assisting risk assessment, accident investigation, site instructions and inspections.
- Production- Working to programme and mitigating lost time where possible.
- Quality- Ensuring standards of workmanship are maintained. Ensure completion of quality records, ensuring maintenance of process-capability
- Problem solving / trouble shooting.
- Preparing & Reviewing RAMS for site activities.
- Maintaining & UIpdaing the construction plans and associated documentation.
Control of costs
- Manpower
- Materials
- Plant and vehicles
- Damages and thefts
Liaison with the Health & Safety Manager
- Working together to improve standards through joint site inspections and reviews of site monitoring results.
- Dealing with improvement notices where applicable.
- Adopting Client Best Practices and creating New Best Practices.
Liaison with the Client’s Site Operatives
- Working together to ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are achieved
- Dealing with actions from technical audits.
- Development / maintenance of competency levels.
- Ensuring coordination of activities are agreed with the site operations.
Liaison with the Planning Manager
- Construction planning and reporting on progress.
- Informing of any lost time, delays or potential compensation events.
Liaison with the Clients’ representatives:
- Progress meetings.
- Day to day activities.
Liaison with local authorities & other bodies in connection with site activities.
Management of site personnel:
- Recruitment
- Discipline
- Manpower planning
- Employee development
- Communication
- Man management
- Highlighting Training Requirements
Control of plant, equipment and materials
Administration
- Documentation. Quality records, as built information, time sheets, work records, allocation sheets etc
- Meeting with Planners, Contracts Manager, Senior Agents, Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience of delivering multidiscipline projects in the Gas industry. Ideally pipeline and / or Compressor Station/AGI experience.
- EUSR SHEA Gas competency
- Supervisory Management Training
- CSCS Managers Card
- IOSH / SMSTS
- Willing to travel on a weekly basis.
- Full UK driving license
- Good work ethics
- Able to lead a team
- First Aider
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor (desirable)
- CDM Awareness
- NEC 3&4 Contract experience (desirable)
- Fire Warden (desirable)
