VACANCY: CNC Operator Programmer
LOCATION : Rotherham S60 (Close to Meadowhall Sheffield)

MTL Advanced is a Yorkshirebased steel engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 300000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham.
We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEMs from leading industries including defence security construction quarrying recycling and rail.
Our inhouse capabilities include large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking CNC Precision Machining Fabrication & Welding Shot Blasting Painting and final Assembly.
Tasks
MTL Advanced is actively seeking a seasoned CNC Programmer / Operator with great attention to detail and a strong focus on meeting quality standards. You will be able to interpret technical drawings program and oversee CNC Machines and uphold our standards of precision and efficiency. Working from drawings; you will plan machining processes specify tooling and fixturing requirements and generate machine programs.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Independently program set up and operate CNC machinery (Fanuc Controls) to craft parts as per the specified standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machine accordingly
- Supervise machines during operation making realtime adjustments for enhanced results
- Maintain machinery cleanliness and functionality on a daily basis
- Check the completed products for precision ensuring alignment with specifications
- Promptly report and document any discrepancies in machine or tooling operations
- Engage proactively with the engineering and production teams to meet and exceed quality benchmarks
Requirements
ABOUT YOU:
- Demonstrated experience as a CNC Programmer / Operator
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Experience with precision measurement instruments
- Ability to seamlessly interpret technical drawings
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and critical thinking skills and generate innovative concepts and ideas
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Able to demonstrate excellent manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources for the manufacture of parts
- Strong mathematical skills
