About the Role

Agincare are looking for Care Assistants to join our team to support with providing care to inmates at HMS Lewes as well as providing home care in the wider community.

Hours: Full time or part time. Availability on weekends preferable

Location: Lewes and surrounding areas

As a Care Assistant you will support inmates of HMP Lewes with a variety of personal care needs which could include bathing/washing, oral care, support with using the toilet.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to support our customers in the local community to supplement your hours. As well as the above responsibilities, you may support with laundry, food shopping, socialisation and companionship.

Training will be provided for support in the prison including personal protection, suicide and self-harm in addition to Agincare's standard induction training.

About You

You don’t need to have previous experience or qualifications in care, what’s important is you are passionate and motivated and you want to help in your community. If you want a job where every day is different, our Care Assistant role could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Please note that applicants will need to complete the HMP Lewes vetting process which could take a minimum of six weeks.
