Portfolio Information and Assurance Manager - Submarines Full time Derby Why Rolls-Royce? An exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Information and Assurance Manager role has arisen within Rolls Royce Nuclear (Submarines). This is a high-profile role with a unique opportunity to operate across all aspects of the Submarines business and work with the Submarines Executive and Senior Leadership in the Portfolio Council and Operating Committee.

As part of the Portfolio Office Management team, the Portfolio Information and Assurance Manager is responsible for the planning, setting and control of Portfolio data and information requirements. The role is also responsible for providing data assurance to deliver compliance and standardisation to support overall portfolio data quality.
The role is required to maintain and develop the supporting portfolio resources, processes, policies, and leadership to integrate the portfolio to support the various DBU's and functions requirements, to meet the customer and business needs.

What you will be doing: With this exciting opportunity you will be accountable for the following:
- You will be accountable for ensuring quality and timeliness of data and information through assurance and compliance surveillance across the business, working closely with wider assurance teams, PMO and delivery teams.
- You will act as requirements owner for the information and information systems needs of the Portfolio Office working with Portfolio Office leads and managers to identify new requirements and improvements to provide an optimised operating environment.
- You will work with digital community to set out the vision and plans for the digital portfolio office.
- You will act as the focal point and escalation route for all aspects related to the portfolio data and information
- You will have challenge thinking to drive pragmatism and simplicity into the Portfolio Office operational decision-making processes and implement standardisation wherever possible

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Experience in operating in a performance, monitoring and control environment
- Experience in visual management, process improvement and data analytics and data quality
- Experience of leading multi-functional teams
- You will have demonstrable experience in leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal relationship, and people management skills
- You will have had experience of managing and leading technical resources and teams to deliver against annual and 3-5-year business plans and performance targets
- Experience in the use of SAP, Primavera P6, Cognos, Power BI and ideally broader digital toolsets.
Typical qualifications & professional membership:
- Ideally Degree qualified, holding a Project Management qualification or equivalent (or equivalent industrial experience)
- APM PMQ
- Member of a professional body, typically MAPM possibly working towards FAPM
- Data Analytics

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
