Striving for excellence with high expectations for all pupils to achieve their best
We are looking to appoint a Wraparound Care Assistant to join our small but thriving school. We are a caring, supportive, and friendly school community with a strong commitment to collaborative working to achieve the best for our pupils.
We are a small primary school, situated at the foot of the South Downs in West Ashling, just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Chichester. We have a committed team of staff who work hard to provide outstanding learning opportunities, making the most of our school grounds and local environment. Our school motto is ‘Moving Forward, Loving Learning’.
We are preparing to launch our own childcare provision for families requiring care for their children before and after school. This role would involve leading the wraparound club, providing breakfast before school, a snack after school and engaging children in enriching activities with a different theme each day of the week.
You will work in collaboration with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to create high quality childcare that will offer our children and families a nurturing and fun environment at the start and end of the day.
You will need to have current Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates (training can be provided) and experience of working with children is essential.
We are looking for someone who is:
*Calm, nurturing and enthusiastic
*Confident to lead activities with children independently
*Able to use their own initiative to plan activities for a range of ages
*Flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting children, their wellbeing and those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
*Able to communicate effectively with children and parents
*Positive and supportive of the school ethos and values.
We can offer:
*The opportunity to be part of a caring school community
*Delightful children and families who value the strong values and ethos of the school
*A skilled, enthusiastic, and dedicated staff team
*Opportunities for continuous professional development
*A fun, creative and innovative learning community.

Please contact Mrs. Julie White, School Secretary, by emailing [email protected] if you would like to arrange a visit to our school.
If you have any questions about the role, please contact Mrs. Katie Hoebee at [email protected]

Closing date: Friday 15th March 2024 - 12 noon
Interviews: Tuesday 19th March 2024
