As a charitable trust with a strong track record of proactively encouraging community engagement, we are looking for a Centre Coordinator to manage our developing community centre at Shenley Court Hall based in a beautiful location in the heart of Bournville. This exciting new role will have overall responsibility for the running of the centre, it’s future direction and ensure BVT builds on its championing people and community building strategies.

Job ProfileAs the Centre Coordinator at Shenley Court Hall, you will be working in a fast paced and creative environment that will expose you to a diverse section of our residents. You will be at the forefront of our mission to create communities where people can thrive.
Leading a small team and having operational day to day responsibility of Shenley Court Hall, you will look for ways to grow the use of the centre, apply innovative and different approaches to promote and attract the harder to reach parts of the community as well as providing additional services to our loyal and existing group of centre users. In this role you will be creating successful partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of community stakeholders. As a key member of the Communities Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key corporate strategies and ensuring BVT listens to residents needs and remain a key part of the community.
Candidate ProfileYou will have experience in community development work.
You will be values driven and focused on delivering great services, be empathetic and adept at communicating with stakeholders.
Be creative and passionate about the community and its residents.
Being organised and having good problem-solving skills is key as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
An understanding of financial reporting and management.
You will be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn.
You will ideally have experience of managing a team or service.
