Home Based with travel in the Kirklees area

Together we can make a real difference to helping people in need. Our volunteer-led clubs and branches run across the UK to support and engage people to enjoy hobbies and interests in their local communities, build friendships and remain active.

We’re currently looking for a Community Support Co-ordinator to join us on a part-time basis, working 25 hours per week for a fixed term contract until 1st October 2025.

The Role

As a Community Support Co-ordinator, you will provide day-to-day support to our volunteer-led clubs and branches across the Kirklees area.

Engaging with volunteer coordinators and their teams, you’ll provide guidance and support to our clubs, volunteers and participants, responding to queries, ensuring compliance with requirements and supporting training needs.

You’ll act as the first point of contact for clubs and branches but also liaise with other departments/teams, build important community links and promote our services both within and outside the charity.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure records remain relevant and up to date
- Ensure documentation, recruitment and compliance requirements are completed
- Measure impact and engagement using KPI data
- Monitor and escalate safeguarding concerns

Working Hours

This is a part-time role, working 25 hours per week. Days worked can be discussed with the successful candidate. This is a fixed term contract until 1st October 2025.

What you’ll need

- Experience of supporting volunteers and working in a person-centred manner
- Experience of using skills to inspire, motivate and influence
- Experience of using standard IT systems, including MS Teams
- An awareness of safeguarding
- Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques
- Great planning and facilitation skills
- The ability to monitor performance against deadlines, milestones and service requirements
- The ability to build effective working relationships
- Excellent communication skills
