Housing Surveyor

Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Housing Surveyor to join our team. As a Housing Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed assessments and inspections of residential properties to determine their condition, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations. Your findings will play a critical role in providing accurate information for property assessments, valuations, and decision-making processes.

As a Housing Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing your strong analytical skills and attention to detail to deliver precise and comprehensive reports. You will work closely with property owners, real estate agents, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all requirements are met and any necessary remedial actions are performed to maintain a safe and habitable environment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, assisting in the development and implementation of best practices and standards.

Responsibilities
Conducting thorough inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Preparing detailed reports, documenting your findings and recommendations.
Identifying any potential risks or hazards within the inspected properties and advising on suitable remedial actions.
Assisting in the development and implementation of procedures and guidelines for conducting property assessments.
Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure that all compliance and safety requirements are met.
Keeping up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry developments, staying informed of any changes that may impact property assessments.
Providing professional advice and guidance to property owners, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in conducting property assessments or inspections.
In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property assessment software.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 08:30
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per hour: £17.60
Location: Hull, East Riding Of Yorkshire
