Scantec recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG Manufacturing business near Pontypool. We're currently supporting their search for a Multi Skilled Engineer on their Days, Continental shift team.
We are open on your level of skills and experience and would accept applications from junior engineers or people outside of the FMCG sector (ideally you will have some manufacturing experience).
Hours / Shifts: Days only, 4on, 4off
6am-6pm
Summary of Key Accountabilities: - Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the bakery process systems and machinery
- Work as an active part of a developing cross functional planned maintenance team
- Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions
- Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action
- Work on various projects including installation and modifications to plant and equipment
- Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout plant
- Ensure the workshop is always audit ready.
- Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved
- Be part of an on-call Rota.
Required skills, knowledge & experience:
We're seeking a candidate with a good knowledge of plant maintenance work and the relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualifications. You'll need to have good electrical fault finding skills (ideally electrical bias, but we are open on this). #J-18808-Ljbffr
